Casual Friday is associated with different dress codes in every company. In many firms it is also called dress-down Friday. On this day employees can wear more informal clothes. In most organisations casual Friday is also called payday Friday, because they receive their biweekly pay the previous Thursday. On casual Friday, suits, heels and formal business attire give way to jeans and tees.
Casual Friday Jeans Policy
On Casual Fridays Jeans are an acceptable and legitimate choice of outfit, provided they are dark wash, loosely fitting and definitely, not distressed.
Now let’s take a look at the jeans style. Wide leg jeans are versatile, trendy and look most professional out of all other jeans styles. Of course, bootcut jeans are classic. They are versatile, something you can put on weekends as well. I personally would not recommend skinny jeans if you work in a conservative office. They would do just fine in a creative working environment.
Casual Friday Top Shirts & Blouses
The best thing about casual Friday is that you can wear more colors and styles at the top side of your outfit. We can experiment with brighter colors and patterns. Depending on the work environment, graphic shirts with slogans can be acceptable, but please use your common sense before putting on one. Some slogans can be too brave for office environment. Also tank tops and low- cut blouses can be too sexy and skin- revealing. We need to look professional even in our Casual Friday outfit.
