Floral Peplum Top Casual Summer Outfit
Today’s casual summer outfit offers some of the items of apparel a lady in a festive mood can think of: denim, form fit and flare peplum top, floral pattern, and of course a quality purse to finish the outfit.
I almost forgot to mention the pair of canvas sneakers, comfy and chic at the same time.
Summer is always casual. This year’s pandemic situation doesn’t change this statement. A great deal of the work now is done from home. We don’t need office attire and expensive business suits this year. Therefore I came up with another casual outfit that is good for both going out (while social distancing), running the errands, or even walking the dog.
Peplum Top For Hourglass Silhouette
Peplum style blouses fit and flatter the feminine figure. They follow the curves at the bust (without being too tight), taper at the waist, and them cinch again at the bottom. This cut creates slim and elegant silhouette,. It complements almost any figure. Unless your body type is triangle or inverted triangle, you will good in peplum top. This top is by Agnes Orinda brand.
Destroyed Denim Shorts
Destroyed denim shorts are the summer time casual staple. The ones I picked cover the thighs and hide all those imperfect assets we don’t want to show off. On the other hand, they are still medium wash destroyed jeans, and make a fashion statement on their own.
Complementary Sneakers and Purse
Additionally, I matched the outfit with canvas sneakers by Sperry. These sneakers come in wide sizes. Also they are a bit expensive for canvas shoes, but are comfortable and durable. Nevertheless, any sneakers or comfortable summer shoes in nude neutral will go well with the outfit.
No outfit is complete without a good handbag or purse. My choice is a neutral color real leather handbag from the discount store BagInc. First, because nude neutral handbag is a staple in the summer wardrobe, and secondly, because it looks cute.
Jewelry Pick
Initially I wanted earrings with flowers to coordinate with the floral print of the top. But after seeing the pretty cubic zirconia butterfly earrings for $11, I felt in love with them.
