Every time you want to invest in a new piece of all- weather apparel, there are several thing to consider. First and most important, is the coat or boots suitable for the temperature in fall in winter at your location. You cannot compare mild Californian winter to upstate New York one, can you? Some piece of apparel you can wear all- year, while dawn parkas and wool coats are for winter only. Still, you can wear all-season jeans with a coat.
